В соответствии с приказом Министерства сельского хозяйства Российской Федерации от 23 мая 2011г. № 132 «О переименовании ФГОУ ВПО и их филиалов», наш ВУЗ переименован.
Полное наименование Университета – федеральное государственное бюджетное образовательное учреждение высшего профессионального образования «Башкирский государственный аграрный университет».
Сокращенное наименование - ФГБОУ ВПО Башкирский ГАУ

Башкирский ГАУ является участником международного проекта Темпус-IV «Qualifications framework for sustainable forestry and lifelong learning - SUFAREL»(TEMPUS-JPHES-№ 516796), поддержанный Исполнительным Агентством Европейской Комиссии по образованию, аудио-визуальным средствам и культуре (EACEA, Брюссель). About BSAU

Bashkir State Agrarian University was established in 1930.
Nowadays it is one of the leading agrarian universities in Russia. The University gets 8 – 12 places among 59 agrarian universities in Russia.
The University comprises 9 faculties and 47 departments, the Over-Urals affiliate in Sibai city, the study and method department, the educational department, the library, scientific-research department, post-educational and post-doctoral department, extra-mural department, study center of complementary professional education, information center, esthetic education center, editing department, experimental farms and other departments.

More than 50,000 highly qualified specialists have been trained and about 12000 undergraduates are studying at the University. More than 640 professors and lecturers, and 25 scientific schools work for the faculties.
The University has 6 modern buildings for studying and laboratories in Ufa city and one – in Sibai city. Total area of study rooms and laboratories is more than 90,000 square meters. All the buildings are completely renovated and they are all linked by covered over-land passages. On campus there is a stadium with running-tracks and sport ground. At present moment a new gym is being built.
