The economics faculty was founded in 1966.

At present the faculty trains students on the following specialities: 080502 Economics and farm management (with specialization Organization of production); 080109 Accounting, analysis and audit (with specialization Accounting, analysis and audit in farm commerce); 080105 Finances and credit (Financial management); 080111 Marketing (Farm marketing) and bachelors on speciality Management.

There are 2,700 students: 1,200 are full-time students. The students of the faculty win the scientific contests on securities, economics and farm management and others.

There are 107 professors at the faculty: 10 doctors of sciences, 65 candidates of sciences.

The professors are combining their teaching with scientific work. There are several scientific schools at the faculty: financial optimization of farm producers (G.A. Khabirov, L.M. Klikich); farm producers motivation (R.M. Sairanov); financial-loan mechanism of agricultural sector (R.R. Yarullin); improving of farm management (R.R. Galiev); development of information supply of farm producers (N.T. Rafikova, V.P. Kuleshova).

In the last ten years the professors have published books and prepared 52 recommendations on farm management.

There is a center for training specialists on the program 1C: Enterprise (1C: Accounting 7.7, 8.0).

The faculty has trained 7,000 specialists in the last 10 years of its work.

There are seven departments at the faculty: of farm management; of farm economy; of management and marketing; of accounting and audit; of taxes and loans; of statistics and information systems in economy.
