food technologies


The food technologies faculty was founded in 2001.

The faculty is training engineers on the following specialities: 260201 Grain storage and processing technologies (with specialization Bread products storage technologies); 260202 Bread, confectionary and pasta technologies (with specialization Confectionary technologies); 260204 Fermenting and wine-making technologies (Alcohol, liquor and vodka products and yeast); 260501 Public catering products technologies (Central production of confectionary technologies and organization); 260303 Milk and milk products technologies (whole milk products and milk-protein concentrates bio-technologies); 260601 Machines and apparatus for food production (Technological equipment for food production); 260602 Food engineering of small enterprises (Food engineering of small enterprises on animal raw materials processing).

There are more than 950 students at the faculty.

The high level of training is achieved due to high qualification of professors (68), among them 1 academician, 6 doctors of sciences and 52 candidates of sciences. There are also departments on leading processing enterprises in Ufa – so the faculty can apply the scientific achievements in practice.

The leading scientific schools are: improving technologies of animal and crop produce processing (A.V. Saveliev, S.A. Leonova); biologically active compounds and corrosion inhibitors synthesis (N.G. Nigmatullin); technologies and technical means for root-crops processing development (G.P.Yukhin).

There is a scientific-innovation center “Technologies and technical means of processing and storage farm produce” (A.A. Katkov).
Students, post-graduates and young scientists are taking part in contests, programs, exhibitions and conferences. One doctoral and 21 candidate theses were defended.

The professors of the faculty have published more than 371 scientific works: 14 books and 30 study books.

The faculty has trained 550 specialists so far.

There are five departments at the faculty: of technological equipment of animal and processing enterprises; of life safety and ecology; of chemistry; of crop products storage and processing technologies; milk and meat technologies.
