The land management and forestry faculty started in 1947.
At present there are 55 professors at the faculty: 15 doctors of sciences and 20 candidates of sciences.
More than 950 students are studying at the faculty now. The faculty trains specialists on the following specialities: 120301 Land management (with specialization Land resources management); 120302 Land cadastre (State regulation of land relations); 120303 City cadastre (Land and estate estimation); 250201 Forestry (Forestry and park management); 250202 Garden and landscape management (Landscape construction and management); Nature saving landscape management (Village landscape management); 270102 Industrial and civil construction and bachelors on speciality Forestry. There are post-graduate courses on land and city cadastre, on forestry and land management, on landscape design.



The main scientific schools are: increasing productivity of South Urals forests (A.F. Khairetdinov); landscape design and planting of greenery in populated areas (V.F. Konovalov, L.N. Blonskaya); optimization of forest and farm landscapes in Pre-Urals and recreational forest using in South Urals (S.I. Konasheva); projecting of forest using (K.M. Gabdrakhimov, M.R. Sahibgareev); improving means and hydro-mechanization of production processes (A.R. Khafizov); territories price zoning in populated areas (M.G. Ishbulatov, L.R. Zagitova); internal farm land management (Kh.M. Safin); land relations regulation in land management (M.G. Ishbulatov); increasing of effectiveness in using irrigated lands (R.A. Almayev, M.G. Ishbulatov); complex managing of river water collection, research of technical conditions and working out safety declaration of hydro-technical devices (R.F. Abdrakhmanov, A.R. Khafizov); water quality prognosis in artificial lakes in the Republic of Bashkortostan (A.R. Khafizov, R.A. Sakayev); foundation construction in difficult grounds ( I.B. Ryzhkov, A.R. Khafizov); slopes stability estimation (I.B. Ryzhkov).
There is a scientific-research forest institute headed by M.R. Sakhibgareev.



In the last ten years the professors have published more than 700 scientific works: 36 books, 15 study books and received 33 licenses.
The faculty has trained more than 4,000 specialists during its work.
There are the following departments at the faculty: of forestry; of forest crops; of land management; of estate cadastre and geodesy; of nature management, construction and hydraulics.
